The aim of assignment 1B is to examine and learn how to use a social networking site, which could assist in the organisation, planning and/or management of a social situation (event). We are also required to write instructions on how to sign up and use the social networking site of our choice.
The social networking site I have chose is Flickr which is a social networking site where people from all over the world can upload and share pictures and videos online. The site allows you to post your own photos, give a description of anything you post, view your friends and families posts and even comment on photos/videos that they post. Flickr is an amazing site that allows you to share and organize photos, manage your photos easily, get comments, notes, and tags on your photos, post to any blog, share and more!
I am organizing a group of people that share the love and passion of traveling to all sign up to Flickr and post photos of holidays and places that they have been to (or wish to go to). The purpose of this is so people that share this passion of traveling and discovering new and exciting places can share their photos of their experience at certain locations they found to be amazing. By doing this people like me can see what other places have to offer and hopefully be inspired to get on the next plane and have their own experiences there! It will also be a group where people can discuss (using the comments option) certain places.
The best part about using Flickr to organize this is that it is simple to organize photos; so people can organize their photos into different places they have been. You can also share them with people that you want (the people that are interested in traveling and new and exciting places!)
