I have decided that I am going to stick to my idea about the traveling. Basically I am using a social networking site called Flickr which allows you to share photos with your friends that you choose to have a part of your site. My plan is to have a group of people that enjoy traveling or have always wanted to travel sign up to Flickr and share with each other photos of their adventures they have had while they are away or even places they want to go and think are amazing. Flickr also allows you to comment on peoples photos and for people uploading photos to leave descriptions of their photos. Therefore people can upload a photo describing it and lets say I was interested in a photo of the Eiffel Tower that someone uploaded I can comment asking more about the photo and the place and the person that uploaded the photo (or any of their other friends) can comment back explaining and giving me more details! I think sharing these places will inspire people to travel or even just allow people to see what else is out there!

So, after a restless night and my mind seeming to be incapable of switching off about this assignment, I went to my tutorial and had a talk with some of my peers. Finally things are starting to make sense to me! I listened to what other people were thinking of doing, and, to my surprise not everyone was doing Facebook! Some people had some really good ideas. One girl in my tutorial was thinking of using a social networking site to organize an end of year graduation dinner which I thought was ... Continue reading...

Ive started thinking about the social resources side of the assignment and I will be honest with you; my brain feels scrambled eggs! I'm not too sure as to what my event should be and what social networking site I wish to use. At first I thought, "Easy, I'll use Facebook," but then I decided against it. Using Facebook would just be using a site I use every day and giving instructions to an audience where a majority of them are Facebook users, to me, seemed pointless. So I have decided to expl... In today's lecture I learned that we were going to be reviewing one of our peers website this time next week and one of our peers would be doing the same. We also saw the marking key that we would be using to mark them and what they would be using to mark us. Seeing this made me feel a little bit more comfortable in starting up my social recourse page (I know I'm leaving it a bit late!) because I can see the criteria we need to match and hopefully I can use this rubric as a guideline. Hopeful... Continue reading...

As the second part of our assignment we are required to make a social recourse page. It involves choosing an event and using a social networking site to put this event in place. Right now, it all sounds very complicated and it is all one big blur! I’m hoping todays lecture and this week’s tutorial helps me to understand everything a little bit better! Continue reading...

So, as part of the Living and learning with technology unit we have been asked to make a web page which includes a picture, text, a hyperlink and a blog. My first thought when I heard this? I'm ready to drop out of uni already! How on earth do I make a web page?! Before I decided to take this drastic measure I went to my lecture which, thankfully, was on creating a web page. Hoo-Rah! I'm saved! The lecturer walked us through step by step on how to make a web page and how to include all the th... Continue reading...
